Recent figures have shown that stronger increases in rent growth have been outside of the capital and instead seen further north.
Rents in Leeds rose by 2.54%, those in Birmingham were up by 2.05% and Manchester saw an increase of 1.91%. Although rents in London still remain the highest in the country, it now appears that the North of England is becoming a more desirable place to live.
The creation of High Speed Rail will also see an influx of new residents to the North as the commute to the capital becomes easier and the living costs further north are cheaper places such as Manchester and Birmingham will become the ideal locations to live.
